My deepest appreciation to Linda Sheehan who provided most of the information for
James Madison and family.  Researchers like Linda make the genealogy pursuit fun
with indepth information from their respective lines.

Don't fail to read the Turnbo Manuscript and the tragic death of James Madison and the wounding
of his son John Peter.  As Linda stated in one of her emails: "When I first read the story of my
ggggrandfather's murder I was in tears.  If it was not for Silas Turnbo and he being a neighbor
and friend of my Hoodenpyles, I never would have known the real story."

The following unidentified pictures have been submitted
by Linda Sheehan.

Is this Elzy Dickson Roseberry & Sarah Jane Hoodenpyle Roseberry?
Elzy born 1847 died 1907
Sarah Jane born 1849 died 1919

"Grandma Hoodenpyle" is the only identifying
name on this picture.  These two pictures came
from a Roseberry family album.

"The only ID is at the bottom of the picture of the woman.
It says Grandma Hoodenpyle.  This puzzles me since the
time frame of the picture would indicate that it may be a
picture of Sarah Jane Hoodenpyle Roseberry d/o
James Madison and Sarah (Briggs) Hoodenpyle.
Does anyone know why they would have called
Sarah Jane, Grandma Hoodenpyle and not Grandma Roseberry?
In comparing this picture to Sarah's sister Mary Elizabeth
Hoodenpyle Forest, I can definitely see the same nose and chin.
Can anyone give an approximate date these photos were taken?"
                          ~Linda Sheehan

Is this Elzy and Sarah Jane?
Also, who is the lady in the white dress?
