"The Korean War marked the first clashes between jet aircraft.
In November 1950, Russian built MiG-15 jet planes made

their appearance.  In later months, as many as 100 to 150
planes took part in aerial dog fights between U.S. F-86 Sabre

jets and the MiG-15's...The helicopter was used extensively for the
first time in the Korean War."
