I have two dates of birth for John Louis Daugherty. I don't know
which is correct!
Rilda Copeland was the dau. of John Bunyan
(1823 - 1903)
& Elizabeth Michael Copeland b 1818.
(Note: Some of the above dates, etc. are in the Howard Co.
AR Heritage Book.
I don't know the sources. If anyone can verify correctness please
write me.)

The following research in regard to Josiah Isaiah Curtis was provided
by
Mary Goodrum - June 2000. We're extremely appreciative,
Mary!
"Josiah was born in South Carolina in 1800. We do not know who his
parents or siblings were. He was married three times and had eight
sons by his first wife. Her name is not known or the date and place
they were married. Josiah Isaiah's first wife was still living at the
time
of the 1840 Census in Lauderdale Co. AL, but she must have passed
away soon after, because he married Nancy Barr
Doyle in Giles Co. TN
in 1841. Something happened to Nancy because Josiah, John M., Paten
and Jasper all moved to Hempstead Co. AR without her.
Paten and Josiah Isaiah lived very close to each other in Ozan Twp.,
Hempstead County. I imagine that Josiah, Caroline, Paten and
Delphia spent quite a lot of time together until the Civil War.
Paten Eli signed as a witness for Josiah on a land patent in
Hempstead County in the late 1850's. This is the last we know of
Josiah. There is one strange thing. Paten and his second wife
Susan
were living in Lamar or Red River Co. TX in late 1867 and Susan
was at least seven months pregnant. For some reason they made a
trip up to Arkansas in the winter. The baby was born in Hempstead
County in January of 1868, then they went back to Texas. I am
wondering if this is not the time that Josiah Isaiah passed away
and Paten was attending his funeral. Only speculation."
Josiah Isaiah's known sons living with him on the 1850
Lauderdale Co. AL Census were:
