Summerhill Migratory Map

It's an accepted fact that this great country was firmly established
because our pioneers migratory fever never waned.  Captivating stories
of bountiful land just over the mountains drove them to pack meager belongings
into wagons and make the arduous journey of a thousand miles.  Their
remarkable perseverance was a
wondrous trait to leave to future generations.

Our Summerhill's did not fail to follow the pattern.   Grouped with family, friends
and neighbors, they took to the crude trails laid out before them.  With wagons loaded

with a few precious necessities, they pushed their teams north, south and west.

Thus, the reason for the following map...to show how this Summerhill pattern
transpired and where our ancestors finally found their Camelot.

Ink & FeatherNote: John Summerill/Summerhill of Pennsylvania -
I've tried, unsuccessfully, to establish a link to
this family, also.  They probably
migrated from Philadelphia, PA to Allegheny Co. PA.   John born 1797
Mercer Co. PA died 1872 Allegheny Co. PA, bur Monongahela Cemetery.
It's possible, they too, were out of St. Mary's Co. MD.
