Ardennes, Rhineland and fought in Central Europe.

                              Base Command.

         d  3 Dec 1947 Hot Springs, AR - bur Arkadelphia, AR

Entered the U. S. Army 8 Jul 1943 - Served in Co. H, 163rd
Infantry Regiment.  Served in New Guinea and the Philippines.

Fired shells from 81 mm mortar to enemy positions.  During
combat on Mindano, was wounded and received Purple Heart
Medal 12 Mar 1945.

Donald Raymond Summerhill
                                   Honorably Discharged 15 Jun 1946

               Son of: Elbert Trigg Sr. & Lillian Brewer Summerhill
               Marital Status: Never Married
, died at 23 years from
                                          Malaria contracted during World War II

Donald received this Badge for being under enemy fire.

I still have it today along with his Purple Heart Medal.
